The Axiom Book

An updated electronic version (last update 20 October 2005) of the wonderful Axiom book by Richard D. Jenks and Robert S. Sutor is available online as a large (4.5 Mbyte) pdf file. It contains some new content and improved hyperlinks. It is also included with the source code distribution.

A project to publish a printed version of the Axiom Book with Lulu (an on-demand self-publishing service) has been established. The goal is to produce a high quality update-to-date book (or set of books) about Axiom which can be ordered by both individuals and university bookstores. The profit from the sale of the books will help fund other AxiomFoundation? projects.

Axiom Volume 1: Tutorial is now available at Lulu. Thank you Tim Daly!

You can find the working drafts of the new Axiom books (Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4) here: book--main--1 .

The Rosetta Stone was a key for the translation of ancient languages. This Rosetta Stone does that same thing for many different computer algebra systems. There is also a general introduction to computer algebra, where various tasks are accomplished using Axiom, Derive, Macsyma, Maple, Mathematica and Reduce.

Schiel & Denver provides ISBN-based book publishing and distribution resources for writers and mathematicians, and offers a special program for math and computer algebra documentation via college bookstores. Some of the bookmarks are not linked to the correct chapters, e.g. "Axiom System Commands" points to "An Overview of Axiom".
